37 Wales

37 Wales Street, Dorchester, MA 02124

37 Wales Street, located on an approximately 10,000 sf lot on a residential street, will serve formerly homeless families by providing stable housing and on-site support services. Bald Hill is working to demolish the existing structure and regrade the site to reflect the street’s natural slope. In its place will be a new, 4-story apartment building with 20 family-sized apartments (2- and 3-bedroom units), first-floor common spaces, and a Program Manager office for staff to provide supportive services to residents. All the apartments will target extremely low-income families earning at or below 30% of the Area Median Income, a top housing priority for the City and State. The high-performance building envelope and all-electric HVAC are designed to Passive House and LEED Silver standards.
